It's been a busy spring/summer covering a number of outstanding conferences in the Bay Area.
For the past three years, TiEcon conference organizers have raised the bar and this year was no different. The two-day event held at the Santa Clara Convention Center May 18-19 had as its theme The Changing Face of Entrepreneurship.
Blog posts on the ecosystem challenge for TiE as it shifts its non-profit organization from a U.S.-centric knowledge based one to a truly global space in the next few years to Tim O'Reilly's focus on the edges of mainstream to social ventures making money doing good, TiEcon 2007 offered something to rejuvenate the entrepreneur. The inaugural launch of the Web Video Summit, Spring '07 held at the San Jose Marriott June 27-28 was a hit, if the 350+ non-registered folks who showed up the day of the event were any indication. This was a chance to tryout TypePad's new feature that lets bloggers post standalone pages.
